The angel's Kiss I

The second painting of the series "Color Refuge." I gave its own title because, well, just because. It is 9"x12" on paper, finished with the UV gloss varnish...I have a few more drying. It is so good to be out of my creative "slump." It seemed to go on for ever, but two weeks does seem like an eternity when you would prefer to be painting, and painting, and did I say painting?

Color Refuge I

This is the first of a series of three paintings, all on canvas, 9"x 1.5"x 12."

Abstract and without a "focal point," they are simply a blank canvas and then I just paint what comes to mind. Sometimes, it is good for me to think less and just "do."

They are 75.00 a piece, or 150.00 for all three; that is, of course when they are all done and posted.

Caterwaul

Acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas-24"x30" with 1.5" depth. Full of colors within colors, and stories woven into the images and iridescent tones that this piece produces...I am still wondering if it is even done, but after hours spent on it, I decided to give her a break. caterwaul: v. to howl (like wild cats at night)

The Unknown II

This is a painting inspired by a painting-"the unknown" only it is just similar, I took this a bit further than the former one. It is on rough 300lb 22"x33" high quality deckled edge paper, with a half inch of white border that was taped off during the painting. It is acrylic with a gloss uv protective varnish.

Even I like it-and I don't believe I have ever said that about one of my own paintings....Perhaps it was just the most fun I have had at my easel in a while.
